Reels

This guide outlines the interactions available on the Reels Page. It provides step-by-step guidance on how users can create reels, navigate through the reels page, and engage with other users through various interaction options.

Create a Reel

• Navigate to the Profile About page by selecting the Profile tab in the navigation bar.

• Click on the (+) New button. A menu with content creation options will open.

• Select Reels from the available options to be directed to the Reels creation interface.

• Upload a Cover Image to represent the reel and the media (video content) for the reel.

• Add a Description providing a brief summary or context.

• Adjust Reel Settings:

  • Public: Visible to everyone.

  • Private: Only visible to the user.

  • Restricted: Viewable only by followers.

• Click on the Publish button to create the reel.

• To cancel the creation process, click on the Discard button. This exits the reel creation interface without saving changes.

Reel Interaction Options

• To access a reel, navigate to the Profile page and select the Reels tab. Then, scroll through and explore the available reels.

• Click the Volume icon to enable audio playback. Click the Expand icon to view the reel in full-screen mode.

• Click the three-dot menu to access more options(Edit , Delete and Turn Off Notifications).

• Click the Profile Avatar or Name to navigate to the reel owner's profile.

• A Progress Bar is available below the reel to track and control playback duration.

Engagement Features

• Like/Unlike: Click the Like button to like the reel or click again to remove the reaction.

• Comments: Click the Comment button to open the comment section and add a comment.

• Share: Click the Share button to open the share popup, where the user can copy the link to the reel, search for a chat, and share the reel with a user.

• Watch History: Click the Eye icon to see the list of users who have watched the reel.

Navigating to Online Users

• On the right-hand sidebar, find the Online Users section. Scroll through the list of currently online users.

• Selecting a user's name redirects to their Profile page, where the user can Follow, Message, or View Posts.

• If a user has an Active Story, clicking on their avatar will open the story.

• Click on the Show More button to expand the section to display additional users. Click on the Show Less button to collapse it back to its default view.

• A search bar labeled "Search User" is available in this section. Users can type into the search bar to filter and find specific online users.

Followers Section

• Story Feature: If a user has a story, clicking on their avatar will open the story view.

• Followers & Chats: Users can see their followers and initiate chats directly from the right sidebar.

Followers Interaction:

• Click the Follower's Name to navigate to their profile.

• Click the Profile Avatar to view their story (if available).

• Click the Message icon to be redirected to the chat page with the follower.

Following Suggested Users

• On the right-hand sidebar, find the Suggested Users section.

• Scroll through the list of users recommended for following.

• Click on the Follow button next to the user’s name. The button updates to "Following", indicating a successful action.

• The followed user’s posts will now appear in the feed.
